Stop Climate Change
Since the industrial revolution, the burning of fossil fuels (oil, coal and gas) and deforestation have dramatically added to natural greenhouse gas levels. There is overwhelming evidence that this extra greenhouse pollution is causing irreversible changes to the world's climate
Go Solar
Energy generation through the burning of the fossil fuels - oil, coal and gas - is a major source of global greenhouse gas emissions. Cutting back on energy use is part of the solution but the only way to make a real and lasting difference is to switch to new energy sources.

Saving Whales
When the whaling industry boomed in the 17th century whales were hunted in their millions. It seemed as though they could never disappear - yet by he mid 1940s, whale numbers were drastically reduced.

Over Fishing
Fishing may be an ancient tradition, but sophisticated technology and a global boom in the industry during the past 50 years have out-stripped nature's ability to replenish the seas.

Nuclear Threat
Internationally, Greenpeace's nuclear campaign encompasses the whole nuclear industry - from uranium mining to nuclear waste dumping.
Saving Forests
Ancient forests provide the world with clean, fresh water, support as much as 90% of the earth's land-based species, and play a critical role in shaping the world's climate. Yet every two seconds a forest zone the size of a soccer pitch is logged or burned.
Chlorinated Killers - Toxic Pollution
In the early 1980s Greenpeace exposed the routine burning and dumping of toxic waste at sea. Public outrage at this environmentally stupid and socially unjust practice was huge. Now Greenpeace is tackling the next great toxic threat - persistent organic pollutants.
